Maryam Alghannam

Maryam Alghannam received her PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2022 and joined Caltech as the George Housner Postdoc Fellow in Earthquake Engineering in 2023. She is interested in the physics of earthquakes, and how fluids modulate the earthquake process.

In April 2025, Maryam starts as an assistant professor of Earth Science and Engineering at KAUST.
