In collaboration with Joaquin Jimenez-Martinez (EAWAG & ETH), Luis Cueto-Felgueroso (UPM), Ruben Juanes (MIT) and scientists at Los Alamos National Lab, we use microfluidic experiments and phase-field modeling to explain how hydrate-crusted fingering may facilitate methane gas migration through the hydrate stability zone.
