We study the mechanics of multiphase flow through porous media and how they shape our natural and engineered environments. We combine theory, modeling and laboratory experiments to advance our understanding and predictive capability for a wide range of problems in energy, resources and planetary science. Our goal is to develop simplified theory of multiscale physics to enable prediction at the large scale.
